Lifeguard *SIGN-ON BONUS!

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - Part-Time

Reports to: Program Director - Wellness & Aquatics

Wages: $10.50+ per hour

Summary/Objective:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Lifeguard at Northfield Area Family YMCA creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintain safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

Summary/Objective:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Swim Instructor at Northfield Area Family YMCA creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintain safe program conditions in the pool, deck and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA and the YMCA of the USA swim lesson curriculum. A swim instructor provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students and families in group, private, and semi-private swim lessons.

Responsible for setting up birthday parties, hosting and running all party activities and clean up after parties.  Position includes communications with parents/guardians and active engagement with youth during event. Summary/Objective:

In accordance with the goals and objectives of the Northfield Area Family YMCA, all levels of camp counselors are responsible for working with youth in a wide variety of summer activities that strengthen youth imaginations and stretch their mind, body and spirit. A successful camp counselor will be an enthusiastic person who wants to spend the summer working in an outdoor camp setting with children. They must be an advocate for the Y Core Values of Caring, Honesty, Responsibility, and Respect.

15-Passenger Van Driver

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - Part-Time

Reports to: Building & Maintenance Director

Wages: $20.50-$21.00 per hour

Summary/Objective:

Under the direction of the YMCA’s Building & Maintenance Director, and in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Northfield Area Family YMCA and the Northfield Healthy Community Initiative, van drivers are responsible for transporting students and families over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions in a 15-passenger vehicle; ensuring vehicle is in a safe operating condition and ensuring safety of riders during transport, loading and unloading from the van.

Wages: $20.50-$21.00 per hour

Summary/Objective:

Personal Trainer

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - Part-Time

Reports to: Program Director - Wellness & Aquatics

Wages: $16.00-$23.00 per hour

Summary/Objective:

The Personal Trainer follows the YMCA of the USA Health and Fitness guidelines and is responsible for planning and leading a range of individualized or group exercise/activity sessions for clients in a fitness specialty area. They perform a variety of fitness programs that are both educational and motivational and provide guidance on ways to support healthy lifestyles and healthy lifestyle changes. The Personal Trainer also provides customer service which promotes member wellness in accordance with the YMCA policies and procedures and creates a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment.
