There’s a Y in Economy
Interview with Krin Finger, Owner of the Rare Pair and Dale Finger, Owner of the Quarterback Club
Do you have any prior experience with the YMCA? We do not have any prior experience with a YMCA.
In what ways will having a Y Community Center impact the local economy? Northfield will have a new community facility that will attract potential/new residents & employees, and serve surrounding communities. The Y Community center will employ more than 100 people. That alone is a nice boost to the local economy.
How will having a Y Community Center impact your business? A Y Community Center will be good for local business. We hope that it will bring more people into town to shop & dine at our local businesses. We agree with the YMCA slogan “Good Health is Good Business”
Why do you support having a Y in our area? We support the Y Community Center because: a YMCA is really a reflection of its community. We we were both raised in Northfield and raised our children in Northfield, and we locally own & operate businesses in Northfield. Together we support the YMCA mission: To build strong kids, strong families and a strong community–where programs & services like the Y are accessible to everyone.
