Do you have a Y personal story?
I do not have a personal Y story, but I support the Y because of its mission, both here and now, as well as historically.
Who is the Northfield Y for and what purpose(s) will it serve?
The Y here is Northfield is for everyone, old and young alike.
What impact do you see the Y having on the overall physical and preventative health initiatives in our community?
I am impressed that the Y board looked carefully at the current needs of the community and the organizations that already exist to serve those needs. They then assessed how to fill the gaps.
What are the ways you see the Y being a good partner in your line of work?
The Y will be a great partner for me as a physician. I can refer people to the programs that The Y offers and know that person will be able to access that programming. The Y can, in one facility, serve our diverse population, from cooking classes to pre diabetes education to open gym time.
Why do you support the Y (in programs, partnerships, financial contributions, membership, etc)?
It is important for all of us who have the means to support this project. This will enhance the lives of ourselves, our neighbors, and our community. Living in a healthier community is better for every one of us.
I look forward to the opening of our new facility.
