The Northfield Area Family YMCA Joins Welcoming America & Hundreds of Communities to Celebrate New Americans During Welcoming Week
Welcoming Week Celebrate Newcomers & Immigrant-Owned businesses with an invitation to use the Y FREE on September 22nd, 23d and 24th. Try the Y free and participate in our wide variety of group exercise programs, use our expansive 2nd floor fitness equipment or jump in the pool for family fun.
Our Y joins hundreds of YMCAs and other organizations nationwide in hosting events to celebrate immigrants’ contributions to communities and bring together all residents in a spirit of unity.
“At the Northfield Y, we believe our community is stronger when everyone in the community feels welcome and we can all work together for the common good,” said Virginia Kaczmarek, CEO. “Welcoming Week is an opportunity for neighbors – both immigrants and U.S.-born residents – to connect, find common ground and celebrate our shared values – all for a better us.”
