Membership Comparison - old & new

NEW September 2008 Memberships! How do they compare to the ‘old’ Memberships? GRAND OPENING Sept 9th!

$25 Joiners Fee for all memberships:
Adult Membership is $28 per month
Youth Membership is $24 per month (or $288 per year)
Family Membership is $55 per month (or $$660 per year)

Here’s the comparison:

Youth Membership was $50 for the year and if that child went to one class per session - they’d pay an average of $35 per class (or 7 classes each year x $35) which is $245 PLUS the $50 membership fee which is $295. The new membership structure is only $288 and classes are free with membership.

Family Membership was $150 for the year and if two child (I used two as an average) went to one class each per session - they’d pay $35 x 7 classes x 2 kids or $490 PLUS the $150 membership fee which is $640.  So family members are paying $20 per year for access to the Wellness Center (or $1.66 per month) because they will pay $660 for the year under the new structure.

In case you need added incentive, we are partnering with several health insurance companies (Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medica, UCare and HealthPartners) to provide fitness rewards. Participate at the YMCA Health and Wellness Center and you could be reimbursed $20 (per month) for your membership (check your individual carrier for details).

Please do not hesitate to contact Virginia directly if you have further questions. The plan is to phase out all old memberships but you may keep your older membership for as long as you like. We won’t be selling the old membership any longer effective September 2008.
