Entering grades K-3
Y Navigators is a traditional day camp which provides youth with supervised activities that teach core values, conflict resolution and leadership skills. Children have fun while building self-confidence, appreciating teamwork and gaining independence.
Y Navigators’ activities allow children to create arts and crafts, explore science and technology, swim, participate in field trips, and appreciate nature. Campers are able to explore creativity, teamwork and leadership in a wide range of physically active programs that influence lifelong healthy living. They have the opportunity to enjoy an outdoor environment where they develop an appreciation of nature.
Y Navigators also offers children positive developmental experiences and encourages them to forge bonds with each other and with staff, building confidence through skill-building activities suited to their age.
Y Navigators – EXTREME TWEEN EDITION!
Entering Grades 4-6
NEW this year, for the first time EVER, older campers in Y Navigators get their OWN camp! Tween Camp is built on the foundation of Y Navigators and the Y’s Core Values of Honesty, Caring, Respect, and Responsibility. We heard from families and youth looking for more engaging experiences, skill-building opportunities, leadership development, and fun, challenging activities geared toward this older age group. You spoke, and we listened!
Tween Camp’s daily schedule is structured similarly to Y Navigators, available from 6:45am-6:00pm. Drop-off and pick-up is at the Y, but Tween Campers will move offsite at 9:00am for their own activities. Campers will have the opportunity to develop new skills in the interest area of their choosing, learn to lead younger campers in games or activities, attend Tween Only field trips, and participate in fun activities available only to Tween Campers.
