Additional $16 fee required for kayak rental
If you love water and are looking for an adventure, this camp is for you! In partnership with Gear ReSource, you will get to kayak local lakes, the Cannon River, use stand-up paddleboards on the Faribault reservoir, and have fun splashing around at Alexander Park. We’ll learn water safety skills and paddling techniques. Space is limited, so sign up early!
Horse Lovers Camp
Do you have a passion for horses and want to learn more about them? Join us this week as we learn the foundations of riding skills, horse health & care, and horsemanship. We will visit local stables, learn the variety of styles from Western to Dressage, hear from professional trainers and teachers, and if you’re lucky – even get to muck the stalls! Think you’re up for getting dirty? Campers must wear long pants and shoes with a heel (such as boots). Space is limited, so sign up early!
Wilderness Survival Camp
July 31-August 3
Ever wondered if you could survive in the wild? Take a chance and learn about building life-saving shelters, cooking over a fire, purifying water, navigation, signaling for rescue, and edible wild plants. We’ll explore local state parks to test our skills. While the camp isn’t overly strenuous, we will be hiking about 2-4 miles over the course of the week. Students will need to be able to carry food, water, and gear with them throughout the day – preferably in a backpack with a hipbelt.
Archery & Fishing Camp
Get outdoors and challenge yourself this week as we visit local watering holes for the best fishing and take aim at archery! This week is packed with not just learning the basics but also developing new techniques, improving your target accuracy, gaining outdoor wilderness skills and even designing your own bait for catching fish. This week is in partnership with the Northfield Outdoorsmen Club. All equipment provided.
Entering grades 8-10? Be sure to check out our Counselor In Training Program also.
